Natural Resource Intern

Cody graduated in 2022 from Texas A&M University (TAMU) with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. He grew up on his family’s ranch in Comal County where he spent most of his time outside exploring nature through hunting, fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, gardening and helping around the ranch. While at TAMU, Cody was involved with the Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society, including serving as the chapter president. He actively worked throughout his undergraduate time as a research technician in the Texas Carnivore Ecology Lab, primarily working on projects focused on feral hog management. Cody is excited to work at Shield Ranch Barton Creek and learn various land management practices. He hopes to one day work as a private lands biologist in the Edwards Plateau, helping landowners to steward their land.
