
What: Celebrate the season at Evergreen Winter Warm-up, a botanical-inspired gathering filled with flavors, crafts, music, and activities for all ages. Enjoy stunning views from Horizon Hall, hike along our trails, or cozy up on a blanket by the campfire.
When: Sat., Dec. 13, 2025; 11 am – 3 pm
Where: Campsite at Shield Ranch; 10417 Crumley Ranch Rd., Austin, TX 78738
Cost: $18 adults, $10 youth (under 18), children under 3 are free

- Winter plant identification walks with Capital Area Master Naturalists
- Herbal medicine and plant wisdom walks with Herbal Action Project
- Kids’ scavenger hunt
- Nature discovery activities, games, and storytime with Camp El Ranchito staff
- Seasonal plant-inspired crafts
- Live acoustic guitar music

Food & Drink: Sample Chef Addie’s meatballs (from venison harvested at Shield Ranch), seasonal vegetables, local beer, and yaupon tea from CatSpring Yaupon.

Wild for Good: Evergreen Winter Warm-up is hosted by the Shield Ranch Foundation. By attending a program or reserving the Campsite, you help support El Ranchito scholarships, conservation efforts, and provide access for small nonprofits to use the Campsite.
