What: Guided walk and outdoor field sketching and watercolor.
Would you like to enrich your relationship to nature while cultivating your art technique? Join Emma C. Schmidt—cartographer, illustrator, and painter— for an afternoon of drawing, watercolor painting, learning exploration, and the art of noticing at Shield Ranch. She will guide participants of any skill level in the discovery and sketching of native plants with an option to use watercolors in this restorative exercise in capturing the spirit of conservation… on paper and within yourself. Slow down, explore trails and observe wild plants and the change of the seasons together.
All skill levels are welcome—no artistic experience needed.
