On Wednesday, February 25, STAR Flight will be operating in the Shield Ranch airspace to complete a series of air-based training exercises. These flights will take place alongside a planned prescribed burn, creating a valuable opportunity for coordinated ground-and-air training.
The prescribed burn is done in partnership with the Travis County Fire Marshal’s Office. This collaboration will help ensure that local personnel are better prepared for future emergency response scenarios, strengthening regional readiness and interagency cooperation.
